The passage informs us about one of the greatest poets of Bangla literature, Rabindranath Tagore. He was born in 1861 at Jorasanko, Kolkata. He lost his mother at the age of 13. He married Mrinalini in 1883. He was awarded Nobel prize in 1913 for Gitanjali and was given a Knighthood by the British in 1915. This versatile talented personality died in 1941.

Begum Rokeya was born in 1880 to a conservative family. She was educated in English and Bengali by her brother. In 1896, she married Sakhawat Hossain. After his death in 1909, Begum Rokeya opened the Sakhawat Memorial Girls' School in Baghalpur. However, she had to close it. She reopened it in Kolkata in 1911 with eight students. Her efforts gained attention of the govt. and in 1917, Lady Chelmsford visited the school. Alongside her work in education, she established the Muslim Women's Association in 1916 and wrote to inspire Muslim women. She died in 1932.
